Description:

Adoption Event Schedule Events run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM every month at these locations: 2nd Saturday, Sacramento - Pet Food Express 3rd Saturday, Modesto - PetSmart 4th Saturday, Roseville - Pet Food Express Please visit the GCGSR Rescue Page for specific address information. Adoption Fee: $300.00 Polka is a sweet 8-month-old pup. She came into rescue with her sister, ChaCha. She came from a shelter as a stray, so nothing is known of her background. Polka is the more outgoing and active one of the two. New activity brings happy exuberance and jumping up. She is learning to patiently sit for doors to be opened or for a leash to be put on. She sleeps quietly in a crate, and is learning other house manners. She loves other dogs and greets them with her usual happy exhuberance. She lives with cats, who occasionally receive that same greeting, but she usually leaves them alone. Learning to play fetch and play only with dog toys is a work in progress. She isn't too food motivated, but loves attention and pets. Polka is looking for a home with a playful male dog, and someone willing to continue her training to ensure she grows into a fantastic adult. Children over 10 are recommended due to her jumping up. Cats and small critters unknown. Level 2 Understanding Dog Levels Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. Go to our home page for an explanation of the Dog Rating Levels. (https://www.gcgsr.org/dogs.html#levels) Additional Adoption Information For more information and to see when this dog will be attending an Adoption Day, please see our Dogs page on our main website. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state. Puppy Requirements We have special Requirements for Adopting a Puppy and a separate Puppy Questionnaire that must be completed on puppies. Please see our Requirements for Adopting a Puppy (https://www.gcgsr.org/puppies.html) email us at [email protected] for more information. Thank you for visiting!
