Female Dog, Belgian Shepherd Malinois

Belgian Shepherd Malinois (Short Coat)

Description:

Adoption Event Schedule Events run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM every month at these locations: 2nd Saturday, Sacramento - Pet Food Express 3rd Saturday, Modesto - PetSmart 4th Saturday, Roseville - Pet Food Express Please visit the GCGSR Rescue Page for specific address information. Adoption Fee: $100.00 Sasha is a female Belgian Malinois that is approximately 10 years old. She came to us when her elderly owner passed away. She was an outdoor only dog for the last half of her life. Everything inside her foster’s home was new to her. She has very quickly learned about the creature comforts of being indoors, surrounded by people, and what treats are. Sasha sleeps in a crate at night, and has learned to use the doggie door to go outside. She is fostered in a home with two other female dogs, and does well with them. There are also grandchildren who regularly visit and she does well with them. She loves to give hugs to everyone. She knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and she is working on wait/stay. Sasha is looking for a home who will help her explore the new world and continue training. No cats or small critters. Level 2 As a senior, Sasha's adoption fee is sponsored through 12/31/24. Submit an Adoption Questionnaire to meet her soon. Understanding Dog Levels Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. Go to our home page for an explanation of the Dog Rating Levels. (https://www.gcgsr.org/dogs.html#levels) Additional Adoption Information For more information and to see when this dog will be attending an Adoption Day, please see our Dogs page on our main website. (https://www.gcgsr.org/adopt_info.html) We operate within a reasonable driving distance from the Greater Sacramento area, the Central Valley down to Merced, and Lake Tahoe. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state. Puppy Requirements We have special Requirements for Adopting a Puppy and a separate Puppy Questionnaire that must be completed on puppies. Please see our Requirements for Adopting a Puppy (https://www.gcgsr.org/puppies.html) email us at [email protected] for more information. Thank you for visiting!
