Adoption Fee: $300.00 Teddy is a 2 year old black and tan boy who came from a local shelter so nothing is known about his background. Teddy weighs in at approximately 85 lbs but could add a few more pounds to reach an ideal and healthy weight for him. Teddy is a little nervous when he encounters new situations, environments, or unknown dogs but warms up quickly if he is met with patience. Teddy currently lives with another foster brother, Hatchling, and loves to play with him. Teddy also enjoys the company of female dogs and quickly took to the few he has met so far with us. Teddy walks fairly nicely on leash and doesn’t seem to pull unless something really exciting runs out, like a squirrel. Even when he does find something intriguing, he is easily corrected and returns to walking nicely at your side. He is also housebroken with the use of a dog door. Teddy was fittingly named after a teddy bear as he would be happiest cuddling up with his human at all times. He reluctantly sleeps in a crate at night in his foster mom’s room at night with minimal whines to come out and join now that he has settled into the routine. Teddy would love a home with another dog, especially a female, to help build his confidence. It is unknown how he would do as an only dog but might adjust if his humans was around a lot of the time. Cats and small critters unknown. Level 2 Understanding Dog Levels Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. Go to our home page for an explanation of the Dog Rating Levels.
