At 7 years old, he may be entering his senior years, but don’t tell him that—he’s still got 66-pounds of pep in his step, a sparkle in his eye, and a tail that wags with pure joy when he sees his people. One of his favorite things? Picking out a toy, proudly showing it off, and carrying it around like a prize. Aces has some arthritis and recently had a skin mass removed (no biggie—he handled it like a champ). Like many seniors, he’ll benefit from ongoing vet care, joint support, and a cozy place to rest his bones. But he’s still up for leisurely strolls, tasty treats, and plenty of petting—he loves affection and is easy to handle. When it comes to other dogs, Aces prefers a mellow vibe. He has an independent social style and would do best either as your one-and-only or with calm, well-matched dog friends. He’s shown that he knows “sit” and “down,” walks well on leash, and is food and toy motivated—a great combo for continuing his positive reinforcement training. Aces is looking for a kind, experienced home that will give him the comfort, love, and support he deserves in his golden years.
