I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:8At just 7 months old, Barbie is a high-energy, social pup who’s already showing us she’s eager to learn and connect. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of potential—but like many puppies, she’s still learning her manners. With consistent positive reinforcement and structure, Barbie is going to thrive. She loves gentle attention from people and gets excited when she sees her friends—both human and canine. She’s been a regular in our playgroups, where she enjoys high-energy chase games and has shown she can self-regulate and respond well to doggy social cues. Barbie may be a great fit for a well-matched dog friend or could shine as your one-and-only adventure buddy. Barbie does best with calm, slow handling and would benefit from adopters with some experience managing large breed or high-energy dogs. She’s smart, treat-motivated, and very responsive to training—already learning that four-on-the-floor earns her all the best rewards! Barbie is looking for an active home that can give her the enrichment, exercise, and guidance she needs to blossom. Think hikes, nosework games, or even agility—this pup’s ready to go places!
