I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:9Meet Getaround! This sweet, 1-year-old husky is ready to take you on a journey of fun and love. His name suits him perfectly – he’s a pro at getting around, whether it's making new dog friends or hopping into the car for an adventure! At 54 pounds, Getaround is a smart, friendly, and high-energy guy. He's affectionate, eager to please, and very trainable. He's been a great addition to his foster home, where he’s learned commands like ‘sit,’ ‘lie down,’ and ‘wait.’ He's also potty and crate trained! Active & Energetic: Loves long walks, running, and playtime. He would thrive in a home with space to run. Chill for a Husky: Like many huskies, Getaround can be a bit vocal when he hasn’t gotten a meaningful workout. Aside from his occasional bursts of energy, Getaround is calm, gentle, and relaxed. Playful & Friendly: Getaround has been social with other dogs and enjoyed playtime at the shelter, especially chase games. Toy Lover: A bit of a chewer but sticks to his toys. Getaround would be a great fit for an active home that can give him plenty of exercise and attention.
