This sweet boy is eager to learn, protect, and love. He’s still learning table manners and basic commands, but he’s gaining confidence on the leash and has taken to crate training very well. He would do well with someone who will take him on long walks, runs, and hikes, and then end the day with a long cuddle on the couch. At this point, he doesn't love being left alone, but with time to to a new home this will likely improve. He's food motivated, which will be great for rewards based training and helping you bond as you get to know each other. If you’re looking for a furry shadow to join you on an adventurous life, Heathbar is the dog for you. He was pretty independent when meeting other dogs at the shelter and may live well with another calm dog, or he would be happy to be your only pet. Heathbar is around 7 years old and is 75 pounds.
