I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:6Meet Surprise- the 70lb, 1.5-year-old short-haired Husky mix who lives up to his name—he’ll charm you with his easygoing, affectionate nature, after some initial independent streak. Curious explorer: Loves using his nose to investigate the world around him. Loving and snuggly: Once he warms up, he’ll lean against you or rest his head in your lap for more pets/loving. Independent streak: Knows “sit” but likes to keep you guessing when he’ll do it! Laid-back moments: Also enjoys chilling by your side or sunbathing in the California sunshine. Respectful leash etiquette: May pull a bit at first but settles down with sniff breaks. Dog-friendly: Attends doggie playgroup and greets his ward mates politely.
