(every 4-6 weeks)Would benefit from Basic Training Class.ONE LAST THING:This lovely lady has a bff personality; she will follow you everywhere once she gets to know you. Ellie is a bit shy at first and can be barky at times meeting men at first but warms up within a day. (She was initially a little bit barky and unsure about Caleb, but he fed her some treats and they shortly after that became friends and she was all over him). Ellie is more active than just a lapdog. Playful and slightly mouthy so would do best with kids over 7 ideally due to her play style but she is overall very friendly and loving. She has an adolescent level of energy so she would be ideal for a home who is appropriate for a young, moderately active and very playful adolescent dog. She loves playing with other dogs, but I think she would also be fine as an only dog as long as she's given regular opportunities to get out and have some play dates with other small, friendly dogs. Ellie will require grooming every 4 to 6 weeks to avoid matting. She was very matted and may need a little work to get used to being brushed more and more as well as grooming. She may try to play with the cats and annoy them or chase them a little, but she was pretty good around my cats as well so I think with the right person with cats she would do fine.
