Cattle dog mix, male 2 years oldMeet Bender. This is one very nice young boy. This 2 year old cattle dog needed a minute to decompress from the shelter and a neuter, but his foster reports he’s made great progress in a week. He’s still learning the ins and outs of home life. He seems to be the happiest, most confident, and relaxed when he can just be a porch dog and watch the world go by around him. That said, Bender sticks around. He’s currently in foster on a 100 acre ranch, no fences, yet always within a few feet of his “humans.” He walks beautifully on or off leash, heels the whole way. He’s been cat tested and the verdict is, he’s friendly but it depends on the cat. Outdoors with a calm, confident, dog-savvy cat no problem! Bender would make for a great shop dog. He’d be fine as a solo dog, or with a mature, confident, and balanced dog to continue showing him the ropes. Bender is in Templeton.
