Cattle dog/Border Collie mix male 2 years oldLucky, a cattle dog mix, walked onto a hay farm in Salinas. Usually farmers/ranchers, won't tolerate and an animal they have no use for, but this farmer, took this dog to be checked for a microchip! He wasn't... no big surprise. And since this young male dog was intact, this finder, took him for a neuter and got him current on his vaccinations! Hence the name "Lucky"! How long Lucky was outdoors, searching for shelter is anyone's guess. Here's what these hard working finders have to say about him: "We have been calling him Lucky but he responds to whistling and telling him to “come”. Sweet dog. Loves people but maybe a little too much because he does like to jump, we think he’s at or younger than 2 years old. He is neutered and has shots. He works well on a leash and a collar. He could use training especially around other animals to be made to know they are friends and not play things. He hasn’t tried to bite anyone even in uncomfortable situations and gets shy very easily especially when yelled at. Needs attention and needs to stay active because he has a lot of energy. Very smart, catches on to new things quickly and learns fast" Lucky is a family dog, waiting for his family! Lucky is in Salinas, CA.
