Description:
Meet Acorn SQUASH!! Acorn is a 8yr old NEUTERED MALE that comes to us from the Peninsula Humane Society. At 22 lbs, he is fully vaccinated, microchipped and parasite free. This is what his foster family had to say about him. Acorn is just the sweetest fellow. He settled so quickly into our house and routine. He loves to be with people and will snuggle up next to you or find a spot on the couch to relax and settle right in. He's been a great office buddy! He was inclined to mark when we first got him (post neuter surgery) but did great with belly bands. After a few weeks, we're no longer using the belly bands as he's doing his business consistently outdoors. He does not ask to go out so I take him out a couple times a day. He'll usually go potty when I tell him, especially if the other dogs are sniffing around too. He gets along very well with the other dogs in the home. He did not show any signs of aggression. Our little one is trying to teach Acorn to play. He's willing to go along with it. Acorn is not especially interested in toys. He is not picky about food at all and gets very excited when it's meal time. He will poke around at the other dogs' food but he's not territorial about his own space when he's eating. He took meds easily with pill pockets. Acorn LOOOOVES to go for walks. The first couple weeks, he would pull at the beginning of the walk and then settle in and walk nicely. Now that he has regular walks, he is less likely to pull. He can be reactive when he sees other dogs and we're working with him on that. He learned to sit on command very quickly so he's definitely trainable. He seemed to do well in the car. He is also very calm and patient with grooming (brushing and bathing). He's generally very easy going about anything going on in the household. He doesn't bark much and he will go into his pen with no fuss. The first couple nights, he barked for a bit in his pen but now he goes in there and goes right to sleep at bedtime. Acorn is just a great guy to have around. He would do well in a household with older kids or a couple or single person, as long as he has someone that will spend time with him and give him snuggles and scratches. He is affectionate with men and women equally. He'll be a wonderful addition to any household.
