We first met Ginny at the shelter. She was hit by a car and brought in by a good citizen before being rushed into emergency surgery. She had a plate put in and has been recovering well in her foster home. While her healing journey is still ongoing, our shy little gal is ready to find her soft landing place and her forever people. Ginny weighs 13 pounds and is the perfect size for all the love and snuggles you could want. You won’t regret meeting our lovely Ginny! Ginny is a quiet but uber sweet gal who has so much to offer the world if you give her the chance to bloom! Despite all that she has gone through, she seeks out affection and loves the companionship of her humans. Ginny would be the perfect pup for someone who works from home, as she is ready to provide that calming presence sometimes needed during stressful workdays. As her leg has started to heal, Ginny has started exploring the world more and boy does she love smelling all the wonderful smells nature has to offer! Our girl has a nose for adventure and we can’t wait for her leg to heal so she can start checking items off her bucket list. For now though, she’s happy to help you binge watch your favorite shows and movies. She’ll even assist in eating the popcorn! Ginny is such a sweet and lovely little lady with so much love to give. Ginny wakes up around 6 AM and goes into the yard for potty. She has breakfast around 8 AM and then settles in for a rest in her pen, as our vet has encouraged her to not be too active as she heals from surgery. She eats again at 1:30 PM and 7 PM. During the day, she gets lots of time to slowly explore the backyard, play with her toys, and take plenty of naps. As she has come out of her shell, we have seen more of her fabulous personality emerge which has been a treat! In the evening, Ginny goes out for one more potty before heading into her crate for the night. Ginny would be an option for a home with a resident dog as long as the dog is respectful as she continues to heal. She loves her walks and sniffs all the leaves she passes. While she can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, if you give her time to settle in she will eventually come seeking cuddles and love. Her ideal home is one where she can continue quietly recovering, so an adult only home is perfect for her. If you’re ready to meet your new best friend, come meet Ginny! Ginny is only an option for homes with dog owning experience. Ginny is only an option for adult homes.
