Description:
Hi, I'm Charlotte, aka Super Char! They call me Super Char because I am: Super sweet, Super in my crate, Super small, Super cuddly, Super at Potty, Super treat-motivated, Super wrinkly and Super cute! I’m also friendly with other dogs (I want to play, but I’m respectful if they don’t) and I am a smart girl even though nobody has ever taken the time to train me before (and I don’t like disappointing my foster mom, so she has to be extra gentle with me). I LOVE to cuddle, my favorite move is the fall over backwards for belly rubs, gets ‘em every time. My Super power is my smoosh face and loving gaze - I can melt anyone! My kryptonite is new things, but my life was super scary before ITP, so foster mom doesn’t blame me. I am anxious with new people, new places, and some new things. But I’ve made a lot of progress already and think I would get more confident in my forever home with some patience and practice. At home with foster mom, I’m comfortable and relaxed and she can do anything with me (I even let her touch my ears, my feet, and give me baths), I just don’t “do new” very well yet. I’m under a year old and I’ve only grown to 16” tall at my shoulders and 35 lbs. I probably won’t grow much more. Cause I’m young, I think that everything on the floor is a toy for me. I mean, its on the floor, its gotta be right?! I met one little boy and I liked him a lot. He was calm though, and while I think I would love children, younger ones that are very active and squeal and laugh might freak me out a little bit. I would love to have a doggie brother or sister to help with confidence, though I’m okay being alone too, and would probably do best in a mellow home. I’m pretty chill, I like to play with toys and even get the zoomies sometimes, I like to grumble when I'm feeling sassy and want to play. But I am def not a fitness buff, more couch potato. Foster mom says I’m not exactly plug and play, whatever that means, but she fell in love with me immediately and I’m SUPER worth the time and effort to make me feel safe. She says its not my fault, she says its *@$# people’s fault (I’m not allowed to say that word). So, if you’re a couch potato too, with time and patience to help me grow, I would love to meet you (even though I am shy)! Love, Charlotte From the Rescue: Charlotte is around a year old and she was found on the streets as a stray. She is not yet spayed. When she came to us from the shelter she had almost no fur, overgrown toenails, and she flinched with arm movements. She’d also had a litter of puppies (based on her physical assessment). From all appearances, she had a hard life and was not cared for. She’s become very comfortable in her foster home, totally trusts foster mom, and isn’t scared to explore the house and yard. She’s exceptional in her crate (not a peep), is housetrained, and is smart given the bit of training we’ve worked on so far. She will need some extra love and patience to be her best self, she may always be a bit fearful of new things, but she’s already come so far!
