Check Me out ! Meet Maisie! This charming 1.5 year-old, weighing in at 45 pounds, is a delightful low rider, thought to be a mix of Stafford Terrier and Dachshund. Rescued from an overcrowded shelter where she was a nursing mom, she has flourished in her new environment. All her babies have been adopted and now it's her turn. Maisie showers everyone with the softest kisses and adores all the humans in her life. While she gets along well with other dogs, she's still figuring out the art of play. It's a joy to see her personality unfold! She is crate, house, and leash trained, sleeping soundly through the night. She knows many basic commands such as sit, stay, and down. She's highly treat motivated. She does best with slow introductions to new people as well as strangers make her anxious, but after a calm walk and treats she's ready to be anyone's best friend. Maisie loves socializing during pack walks and is a calm companion, perfectly content in either a yard or an apartment. She relishes hikes and runs with her foster family.
