Description:
Foster or Forever Home Wanted!!! Meet Rocky!!!! Rocky was originally adopted from a local shelter as a young puppy. A few months later he was surrendered back to that shelter for being high energy and mouthy. We rescued Rocky and put him through obedience training with the amazing FALCO Dog Training Orange County. Rocky still has energy like most young dogs but he is a great dog - very friendly with most people, dogs and even cats! But Rocky can be protective of his people when around unknown men. He has been thriving in his foster home. Here is what his foster has to say. Rocky loves going on car rides with the windows down so he can feel the wind in his fur (but he will request the windows up once you get on the freeway/go over 60mph)! He's a great hiking partner, loooves fetch and knows the commands “out, sit, down and stay". When he chases after toys, he often does little bunny hops on the way there almost like he’s pouncing on the toy. We sometimes joke that he sleeps like a cockroach because when he’s super tired after a walk or playing he lays on his back with his belly in the air all sprawled out. He favors cat toys over his own sometimes and carries them around in his mouth super gently with the edge of his teeth. He totally thinks he’s a lap dog and can be known to invade personal space, so it’s important that his adopter is up for cuddling. Rocky is looking for an active adult family to love and play with him. Like all young dogs Rocky will need a family committed to continuing his training, exercise and engagement to help him become the best dog possible. Could that family be yours? Email [email protected] or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org. Rocky is located in Southern California.
