True to her name, she is such a sweetheart, however Sweetie has had a rough start in life and needs a home who is willing to work with her so that she feels safe and loved in this world. Inside of the home, she is potty trained and seems to know basic cues, such as sit and down. She has learned new tricks with treats and is crate trained. She is playful, retrieves toys and likes to interact with her humans and likes getting pets and belly scratches. She is being fostered in an adult only home without any other pets and is doing well when at home. When Sweetie leaves the home, she is triggered by her past and becomes nervous. She has interacted with other dogs who are size or smaller and does fine with a slow introduction. She is fearful or larger, alpha dogs. We feel that Sweetie has a ton of potential with patience and training. She loves going for car rides, when she feels safe in the car with her humans. She is not yet up for social interactions at public places like restaurants, so will need to work on her confidence to get there. Sweetie deserves a home who will invest time in her with patience and love and show her that the outside world is not a scary place. She is a smart and affectionate pup who deserves a great life. Can you give Sweetie the life she deserves? She is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application today! All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.
