Meet Jasper – Whether you're looking for an amazing furry companion to cuddle with or hoping to add another pup to your pack, Jasper is the perfect fit! Jasper is an approximately 4-year-old, 14-pound bundle of love and joy. This adorable white and apricot terrier is ready to find a forever home where he can be showered with love and affection. Sweet & Loving – Although he can initially be be a little timid, shy and submissive, once he warms up, Jasper is so sweet and has the most easy-going, calm, gentle nature that will melt your heart. He’s a cuddle bug who can’t resist rolling over for belly rubs, and he wiggles with joy and happiness when people come into the room. While he loves affection, he's not overly clingy and is content chilling on his bed nearby. Social Butterfly – Once he feels safe, Jasper warms up quickly and loves making new friends. He's non-reactive and is chill with other dogs, including the three dogs of varying sizes in his foster home, where he easily integrated himself into the pack and the routine. The Perfect Companion – Jasper thrives on and finds safety and comfort in the company of gentle dogs and humans. He can be a bit fearful of meeting men (he gets a little growly in the beginning but quickly warms up.) He’s quiet, rarely barks, and understands "no." He’s also making great progress with house training. He is doing well on the leash and enjoys going for walks and hikes, as well as lounging in the back yard or curled up next to you on the couch. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption.
