Description:

12/16/24 01:37Doggy Day Out Report:Today I got to see my friend again today, so exciting! She took me for a ride in a car, and I told her all the wonderful stories that I wanted to share. We took a long walk and I got to learn so many new things with my nose! I did not want to miss out on the sniffing at all, even in the deep bushes. I saw many bikers, other humans – they don’t really bother me, but dogs are pretty interesting! I am small and senior, but I am so happy going on these long walks and still have energy at the end. On my way back I rested my head close to my friend’s ear and made her smile with my snorting. I cannot wait to go walking with her again.Three Words to Describe Me are: Patient, Curious and EnergeticNotes from My Walker: This was Angie’s second trip with me. She was so happy coming out for her walk, got leashed and jumped into the car. This time she was quite vocal in the car telling me lots of her stories. We went on a 31/2 mile walk and she was all about sniffing the whole time. She loves putting her face into the bushes to make sure she did not miss any news in the area. We went to PetFood Express and she got a treat that she actually loved. On the ride back she was very relaxed and took a brief nap in the car. She is an absolute pleasure to go walking with every time. 12/01/24 23:42Dog Day Out ReportToday I: Met 2 new friends and went on an adventure! My friends took me for a ride in a car – I love to take rides! I can jump in all by myself and I can help watch where we go! Then we took a long walk and I got to learn so many new things with my nose! I saw cars and bikes and people and dogs – they don’t really bother me, but dogs are pretty interesting! The most interesting thing though are squirrels! I am small and senior, but I bet I could catch one! After the walk we went to a store where I got to do lots of sniffing! Oh, and did I mention treats?! Yum! I showed off my “Sit” for those!Three Words to Describe Me are: Sweet – Energetic - SpunkyNotes from My Walker: This was Angie’s first time out on DDO. With seniors we often expect to go slow and take our time. Well, Angie may be senior, but she still has Staffy energy and excitement! She immediately was ready to be leashed and harnessed, she jumped into the car and waited patiently to be seatbelted in. On the drive, she was interested in the sights and smells, and the treats of course! She walked at a great clip for approx. 4 miles and never lagged! Angie is a sniffer and a bit of a marker, but she can easily be coaxed into moving along. When encountering dogs we kept a safe distance, but she displayed no lunging or barking, just interest in the dog smells. After the walk we took her to Pet Food Express for a sniffari and she checked out the entire store. This little senior has lots of life and love ready to give her forever home!
