Here is KAIA's Tails and Trails Report! What did we do on todayâs adventure: today I got to go on my first trails and tailsadventure! I have grown up in the shelter, so I havenât got to experience much of theoutside world, I did so many new things today â some exciting, some scary. I wasnât sure about the car at first but after my first ride I decided that it was okay. When wegot to the park, I got to sniff all the smells, I played in the river (I love water), and Igot lots of pets and treats. I loved all the attention and exercise, and I got a pup cup atthe end â yum! What should potential adopters know about me: Kaia is a sweetheart who lovespeople, fetch, and splashing around in the pool. She has been in the shelter since shewas 4 months old, so she hasnât got to experience a lot of the outside world yet. She can be a bit nervous about all these new experiences but as long as youâre there withher she will give it a go. She was unsure about getting in the car at first and needed alift, but after the first ride she was happy to jump in on her own. She was apprehensive about the first bridge we went across and overpass we went under, but after conquering the first ones she gained confidence for the next. She is very treatand attention motivated (and smart) so she is highly trainable. She checks in with herwalker often and loves to get pets/attention during breaks. She can pull a bit on leadbut not unmanageably. She was non-reactive to other dogs, bikes, people â and can beeasily distracted with treats when other dogs pass. She was unsure what to make the geese and birds we saw (if anything she was a bit nervous of them haha). She is a bit jumpy, but we were working on cueing a sit before she would jump. Her jumpiness issomething that can be dealt with through consistent training (and regular exercise).Overall Kaia is a super sweet and friendly young girl who will make a wonderfulcompanion and adventure buddy.Three words to describe me: Sweet/Affectionate, Athletic, Out-going
