Female Dog, Pit Bull Terrier

Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Meet Blackberry! This 10 month old tuxedo-style pibble came into the Shelter as a stray found by a good Samaritan in Watsonville. Upon arrival, staff observed that she is snuggly and despite being a little worried about the environment, gives tail wags and kisses. She has enjoyed spending time outdoors in the fenced exercised yards sniffing around and then laying down to sunbath at people’s feet. She has met dogs at the Shelter – tail wagging and soliciting play in a polite fashion. A home with a resident canine may be a fit. We do not have any information about how Blackberry does in a home environment, with children or cats. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
