Meet Calvin!-1 year, 2 month old neutered male Pitbull mix (Pitbull mix is just a guess!)-Weighs 51#-No history from his previous home as he came in as a stray-House trained -Has befriended dogs at the Shelter including Maggie!-Not recommended to live in a home with catsCalvin went to a short term foster home to give him a break from the Shelter and help to gather info about him in a home. We found out he enjoys sleeping underneath the covers in bed! His foster reports: “Calvin is doing amazing! He was a bit shy on the first night but he opened up so much already. We’ve gotten his walking and feeding routine down. We did leave him alone for 2 hours and he did completely fine. Way more playful and energetic than day 1. He’s such a sweet pup.” Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
