Female Dog, Boxer

Boxer / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Meet Cricket, the petite white and gray boxer mix. Cricket came into the Shelter as an owner surrender. Cricket lived in a home with a woman and another dog. Her favorite things to do in the previous home are snuggle, play and run. Cricket is looking for a patient adopter that will be patient with her transition into the adoptive home. She can be nervous when in new environments, with people and other animals but warms up quickly. She met a male cattledog mix and, after warming up, she started to play and was a bit of a bull in a china shop. Any resident dogs in the home should meet prior to adoption. Due to some reported prey drive in her previous home, Cricket is required to go to a home without cats or small animals. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
