Female Dog, Siberian Husky

Siberian Husky (Medium Coat)

Description:

Meet Freya, the adolescent female husky. Freya has been a lively, bubbly social butterfly since her arrival at the Shelter. Staff have observed that she is tidy in her kennel and shows signs that she may be house trained. She enjoys frolicking in the exercise yards and chasing after toys that are thrown for her. Typical to her breed, Freya has some “wanderlust” and does not always want to come back to people. Adopters should be extra mindful that she is on leash when she is not supervised in a fully fenced yard to ensure that she is safe. Bonding with her through positive reinforcement will help to set both ends of the leash up for success. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
