Male Dog, Terrier

Terrier / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Meet Frisbee, the terrier mix! Frisbee came to the Shelter as a stray with his “friend” Fern (a female aussie mix). Upon arrival to the Shelter, Staff have observed that Frisbee was curious and cautious to interact. After acclimating to the environment and people, he is described as sporty – energetic, has stamina and loves to run. Adopters who are looking for an agilty, flyball or sports-prospect in a “shmedium” sized dog – this could be the one for you! He has interacted with Fern, the female aussie he came in with, along with several other dogs. Frisbee can be a little “intense” in his play style and enjoys chasing other dogs. This may not be every dog’s cup of tea so a little speed date prior to adoption with any resident dogs is recommended. We do not have any history of Frisbee in a home with cats or children. Adopters are highly recommended to bond with Frisbee through force free/+R training to bond and work on his life skills and manners (think potty training and leash walking). Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
