Male Dog, Siberian Husky
Siberian Husky
Description:
Pikachu has had a rough start to life. His previous family was threatening to abandon him in the desert because they got a new dog and she was pregnant. They also stopped feeding him because there wasn't enough dog food to go around. Luckily, a family offererd to foster Pikachu and he is safe with them!Pikachu can be a little shy at first with new people, but he quickly warms up and becomes a big, silly puppy. Absolutely no aggression at all, just can be shy at first meeting. Don't be surprised if he turns into your constant shadow & companion. This cute puppy with gorgeous freckles is very dog friendly (both big and small), good with kids and house-trained. He is crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash and knows basic obedience. He absolutely LOVES belly rubs! While Pikachu is not high-energy (like bouncing off the wall kind of energy), he does require regular exercise and mental stimulation. This can be accomplished with regular walks in the neighborhood or local park, adventures to Petco, car rides, puzzle toys and play sessions. He loves to learn new tricks and obedience skills and considers learning new tricks and obedience skills as play sessions (he gets lots of treats and praise so he thinks they're great fun!). His foster family has had great success in using his crate when they're not around to keep him contained (which means he isn't getting into mischief on his own). He relaxes in the crate and enjoys having a bully stick or toy to chew on while he's in there. Pikachu truly is good with people of all ages. He is gentle enough to be around young children and elderly folks. He's happy to make friends and is an overall well-behaved young dog. He can be a little awkward and shy at first, which is all part of his charm.
