Male Dog, German Shepherd Dog

German Shepherd Dog

Description:

Sunny's wearing a cone for a few days while recovering from his neuter surgery, he was a love with his vet team caring for him. And happy to head home to his resident pack afterwards. If you visited the Bradshaw Shelters Roy Marcum Adoption Faire, you likely ran into Sunny making lots of friends and sharing puppy love. He also enjoyed reuniting with Clem, and his other buddies also available for adoption. Fully vaccinated, Sunny has been visiting the local park learning to walk on leash, play on the playground equipment and visits the neighborhood kids regularly whom he adores. His foster family loves training their foster pups so he gets lots of guidance on manners to walk nicely, sit, down, near me. He's potty trained, knows to use the dog door and slumbers away in his crate all night. A charming 4-month-old male German Shepherd, Sunny's a littermate to Clem. Both are quiet, snuggly, affectionate puppies. Sunny's hanging out with two female resident dogs in his foster home whom he adores so much that he wanted to be in their Halloween photo, too. Sunny's also very food-motivated and adores carrots for treats; cold ones help his teeth, which are coming in on schedule. A fan of water, Sunny loves the kiddy pool when its filled, splashing and having a blast. Sunny adores squeaky toys, settling in a spot to enjoy each toy for a while and then seeking a different one. Sunny is an intelligent puppy picking up on good manners, modeling the exceptionally trained resident dogs. Sunny lives with two cats and is very compatible with these cats and will likely be cat-workable with dog-savvy cats. Sunny and Clem were at a United Way event at KCRA last month, you may have caught a glimpse of them on the evening news. KCRA was so kind to send us the broadcast and we have it on our Youtube channel, we'd love for you to check out the vidoes of all our pups and subscribe to increase our reach. United after a week apart, Clem and Sunny were delightful together playing with each other and a fostered shelter puppy just a bit older than them. Both were also snuggly and loving with all their human fans. Although Clem is dealing with motion sickness on car rides, Sunny's immune. He's not had any issues on car rides. He snuggles right into his person if he has company, otherwise he rides tethered with a seat belt. Clem rode like a champ to Saratoga for the DogHood sponsored Halloween Pet Parade and outreach event where he snuggled with all the kids along with Ollie Bear and Clem and then reunited with them at the Bradshaw Shelter's event in Sacramento. We suspect that Sunny and Clem lived in a home before ending up on the streets and then the shelter as they are very comfortable with household sounds and noises, changes in flooring textures, and were easy to potty train. Although puppies require time, energy, patience, and love to raise, shepherd puppies require an extra commitment to raising neutral adult dogs. We ask adopters interested in me to have experience with shepherds or similar herding or working breeds and the time and resources to commit to structure, environmental exposures, and training. As a foster-based rescue, ShepHeroes is always in need of fosters. An overwhelming number of shepherds in our local shelters need our help for a fresh start. Would you be willing to share your home and part of your summer to help shepherds find new families? You provide the love, and we'll provide everything else! Saying "yes" today truly saves a life. Complete this https://www.shepheroes.org/foster-form, and we'll be in touch ASAP! We appreciate your consideration.
