Male Dog, Great Pyrenees
Great Pyrenees
Description:
As LARGE in love as he is in size, affable 15-month-old Atlas is making the most of his second chance at life. This sweet 95-pound beauty with the lush wintry white coat adores his foster mom’s attention, snuggling and cuddling with her, resting his head on her and rolling over for belly rubs. Percolating with puppylike energy and pep, Atlas thrives on taking three walks a day, honing his leash skills along the way, and being supremely social, he loves meeting other dogs and new people, and loves dog parks so much that he actually prances with happiness! Having lived with cats before, he interacts positively with older children, is more comfortable during car rides, especially enjoys chewing bones, and playing with his favorite bunny rope toy and various stuffy toys. Motivated by food, love and toys, he knows “come,” “sit,” “down,” “no” and “off,” is almost fully crate and house-trained and at work on his doggy manners. Now all amiable Atlas needs is a high-energy home with a securely fenced yard, preferably with another playful pup, and adopters who adore large, strong yet sweet dogs to perfect his manners, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him mentally and physically satisfied fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $450. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
