Female Dog, Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retriever / Mixed

Description:

Sweet Bistro, at a mere four months of age, is understandably shy as she accustoms herself to the safety and security of her foster home. The 25-pound tri-color beauty now accepts high-value rewarding treats from her foster parents as they work together on bolstering her confidence. And yet, she readily gives them her paw to ask for love, and when they mimic some of her playful behaviors, from speaking to play bowing, bright Bistro promptly does it back! Barking puppy barks when she plays, she loves chewing bones and playing with toys, especially those that squeak, and feasting on beef liver treats. Most comfortable in the company of her various-sized doggy foster friends, she faithfully follows their lead during their walks as she masters the fine art of leash walking. Motivated by food, toys and love, she currently knows “come” and “leave it,” is almost fully crate trained and diligently at work on her house-training. Now, for Bistro to bloom, she’s best suited to a loving home, perhaps with another dog as both mentor and playmate, and patient adopters who will continue building up her trust, complete her training, including her commands, and show her that life is a wonderful adventure worth exploring. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
