Cole (aka Cody) would be the perfect companion for someone who is active and loves the outdoors. You can take him for long walks or big hikes…he can do it all. He is happy, curious, playful and energetic. Ideally you would have a dog for him to play with. He loves to play with stuffed animals, chew toys and is learning fetch. He plays really well with other dogs but doesn’t have any food or toy aggression. Cody loves to be around people but prefers proximity over pets. He will come lie next to you and is becoming more open to touch so with a little patience we think we can get him over the hump. His expressive eyes will melt your heart. He is highly motivated by treats and eager to please. He is also crate and potty trained. So he can be left alone without anxiety. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
