Description:

Delighting in her second chance at life, tenderhearted 10-year-old Dayzee is blooming in her foster home. Surrendered when her original owner became ill, the black and white beauty with the wide, warm smile is made of sugar, she’s that sweet. Thanks to her foster mom, Dayzee, who entered our care at 60 pounds, now weighs a healthier 56 pounds – six pounds shy of her target weight! Not only does she love people, promptly licking their hands when she meets them, she loves snuggling and cuddling with her foster mom, rolling over for belly rubs, having her coat brushed and riding along in the car for errands. Friendly towards dogs her size or smaller, Dayzee has the energy and spirit of a much younger dog, LOVES her daily walks and sniffs, walking gently yet briskly on leash. Motivated by love, listening intently and responding promptly to commands, Dayzee answers to her name, knows “come,” “sit,” “no” and “off,” especially enjoys Greenies as treats, is so well mannered that she’s never crated, and is almost fully house-trained. Now all Dayzee desires is an active and loving home to complete her training, including her commands, help her to reach her optimum weight, and keep her in cuddles fur-ever. See additional photos and videos of Dayzee here. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
