Description:

If joy had a face, it would be 4-month-old Josh’s face! At 10 pounds and still growing, he’s the happiest of puppies and prizes attention above all else as he settles into his foster home. Sweeter than sweet, he LOVES people and wants more than anything to be a lap dog, either climbing right into his fosters’ laps for a nap or lying next to them for a snuggle and then rolling over to be belly up and having his belly rubbed. Being a puppy, Josh is also extremely energetic, loves zooming around, playing with the resident dogs and playing with small, soft toys, whether it’s with his fosters, the other dogs or throwing them around and playing with them by himself. Highly food motivated, he enjoys ALL treats, is starting to learn his basic commands, and since he’s ever so eager to please and responds well to redirection, he should prove easy to teach. Crate trained and at work on his house-training, Josh will bring joy to any adoptive home, preferably with another canine companion, that will complete his training, including his commands, and keep him both active and adored fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
