Description:

Please go to our website at www.milehighlabmission.com to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application. Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Relax and laid back, Ivy is a lab dream! This sweet girl was pulled from the shelter after being surrendered when her owner died. She's now starting over with a sweet life in Colorado, and looking for a family to spend her golden years with! She is a total pocket pal, happy as can be to snuggle and spend each moment with you. She is a big fan of naps, is house trained, and her foster family has never heard her bark! Everyone who meets this sweet lady falls in love! Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | Ivy is sweet, mellow, quiet, and endearing. She wags her tail, supervises in play, enjoys playing with her own toys, loves to nap in the sunshine, and LOVES to be around people. She has the best mind and heart, and any adopter would be lucky to have her! Story | Ivy found herself at the shelter in Houston, Texas after her owner passed away. The shelter contacted Mile High, hoping we could break her out and we got her, along with her siblings, Willow and Harper! She is settled into her foster home and is doing wonderfully as she continues to adapt to this new version of life. This sweet old gal is enjoying rest, repreive, and all of the snuggles! Other Dogs | Ivy came into the shelter with her two dog siblings (another lab and a doodle), and does wonderfully with other dogs! She would be great in a home with other pups and is very wonderful in interacting with them - happy to play with them, but equally happy to rest and hang. Cats | Ivy is cat friendly!Children | Ivy has not been tested around young children, but given her wonderful and kind nature, her foster assumes she will probably do fine. Ivy does like older kiddos and other people she meets! She has the best demeanor and is quite adoring. Training | This old dog knows some tricks! Ivy is house trained and knows sit. Her fosters are slowly learning what else she knows! Leash | Ivy walks wonderfully on a leash. Activity Level | Low. Ivy is pretty mellow as an older gal! Health Notes | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. Purebreds are $475 regardless of age. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $600 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
