Description:
We host adoption events at Bentley's Pet Stuff every Saturday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The address for these events is 2000 E County Line Rd, Littleton, COHe knows basic commands, such as, sit, down, stay, paw, leave it. We are working on some anxiety training as he is very territorial of his home and his people, but not aggressively, just barks non-stop until he is comforted knowing his people and home are okay. He is the biggest cuddle bug. He gets along with other dogs, big and small. Just please be sure he is properly introduced, he has never been aggressive but we've never improperly introduced to give him the chance to be. I'm sure with his anxiety, he would be, if not properly introduced! He is used to livestock animals anywhere from chickens and pugs to horses! He loves to play tag with the horses but the chickens scare the daylights out of him!! He is not a good livestock protector though, as he hates being cold or left outdoors for too long! Lol. But he will wear out your goats! He deserves to be healthy in his home. We want him to go to a home with as much love and happiness as he has here! He does prefer the calmness of older children, although the crawling babies he adores too. He needs space to run or a family willing to take him on walks often, as it helps with his anxiety. He will not do well in apartments or townhomes. He is up to date with rabies, but has no other vaccines, as we do not board him and he is only on our property. He is neutered. He has had one small surgery when he was a puppy for a cyst on his nose, but no further issues have transpired from that since. He is fed half kibble and half homemade/fresh food, or helps himself to the chicken eggs or pigs food! Lol. But he really will eat whatever! You will need a slow eat or puzzle bowl because he'll choke himself trying to eat! He's a good ball that loves to play, he will be the extra joy a family needs!! He is everything the pitbulls have to offer, for sure!!*Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, we have reformatted the way that we do adoptions in order to follow social distancing protocols. We are thrilled that so many people want to adopt right now, but we are not equipped to handle the large number of calls, applications, and email inquiries we are receiving. We are no longer answering phone calls and are doing all communications with adopters via email. If you have a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application before sending us emails. When your application has been processed, you will receive an email from us with further instructions on how to adopt. You do not need a new application for every dog that you are interested in adopting. At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary, but all include spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccinations and deworming, rabies vaccine at the time of spay or neuter, and 30 days of pet insurance. We also cover hernia repair and cherry eye repair at the time of spay or neuter. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org.
