Description:
You just have to take a moment and give Campbell a long hug. His fur feels amazing: Incredibly soft as if it is velvet. It is a short blonde coat from his head to his tail. Note the dark brown soulful eyes that offer such a contrast. He is just a year old, so he is probably fully grown at 51 pounds. He is considered a terrier mix, though when you look at him, it makes you wonder what else.Terrier mixes are known to be smart, loving, and confident. They can be very active and like to run around to burn off energy. Add to that the traits of playfulness and good-naturedness and you have an appealing mix.He enjoys the company of other dogs and children and loves playing in a secure outdoor area. It is unknown if he has lived with cats. Little information was provided about him because he was pulled from another shelter (which probably saved his life) before coming into rescue. So, it would be best to start with a refresher course in leash walking. Campbell is a quick learner and has already mastered his skills of house and crate training. Although Campbell is house trained, it is important to understand that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Campbell will need someone who will be comfortable training a young adult dog. He will need the right guidance mixed with consistency, repetition, and patience. Cheerful praise and lots of treats will go a long way in helping him master those daily routines.Daily walks will support leash skills as well as socialization skills. (It will also be an opportunity to find out what commands he knows). It will be a new world to him with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along his walk. A secure back yard will give him free time to play and burn off extra energy. He probably would enjoy visits to a local dog park, too. Maybe he would also enjoy going for hikes.
