To adopt please fill out an adoption application. Be sure to watch her video! Sophie a an 8mo female shepherd mix who was rescued just in time from the Memphis Shelter. Friendly, well socialized, never meets a stranger! Gentle with kids and living with 4 young children in her foster home. Great with other dogs. Curious about cats (see video) but not a bit aggressive. Playful with moderate activity level outside and settles down quickly in the house. Good house manners. Housebroken and crate trained. Obeys basic commands. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Loves to be with her people. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 45 pounds. AWESOME young shepherd mix will make a great companion (and jogging partner) for an active family who loves the breed. Here’s a note from her foster mom: Sophie is a wonderful family pet. She is very calm and well behaved. Great with kids and other dogs (both big and small). Fine with cats, just the usual puppy curiosity. She rides well in a car and is potty trained. Sophie doesn’t jump on you, try to get over baby gates, get on furniture (unless invited to), dig holes in the yard, chew on shoes, won’t drink from the toilet or bark at the door. She is very smart and has already picked up a few simple commands like ‘sit’ and ‘kennel’. Her ideal day would consist of lounging around inside with her people chewing on bones. She sleeps from 8 hours in her kennel, and doesn’t whine to get out when she hears me up at 5:30. She would be a perfect family pet.
