Male Dog, Husky

Husky (Long Coat)

Description:

Zuko came to us as a stray who had gotten very used to roaming free. He has grown more and more accustomed to leash walking and some confinement, but he remains a true husky at heart. He loves to roam and explore and will require as much space, supervised roaming and fulfillment as possible. He can be very playful with his sister, Azula, with a very “rough and tumble” play style. He will generally shy away from initial contact and benefits from patient handling. Zuko will be a great match for someone with the patience to form a deep lasting bond, and an active , outdoor lifestyle. If this sounds like you, Zuko is ready to explore the world with you! APPROXIMATE WEIGHT: 35 ESTIMATED DOB: 9/27/2023 GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS: selective GOOD WITH KIDS: yes GOOD WITH CATS: no REQUIRES A FENCE: no ACTIVITY LEVEL: high LIKES TO VOCALIZE: yes SPECIAL NEEDS: no BREED EXPERIENCE NEEDED: no APPROPRIATE PLACEMENT FOR 1ST TIME DOG OWNER? No FREE OBEDIENCE TRAINING IS OFFERED WITH ALL DOG ADOPTIONS Please note that we are often asked if dogs are "house trained". The dogs are in fact living in a kennel environment during their time with us. Even if they have previously lived in a home and been trained - the stress of the change and the new home can sometimes cause regression and require some additional training. We feel that it's best for all adopters to be prepared for this possibility. Visit our adoption page for details about our process, and to fill out an adoption application. All animals come spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. If the animals age or health prevents any of these from being completed prior to adoption a voucher is issued for the services to be performed. If you have any questions about the animal, or our adoption process, please email [email protected]. The Little Guild is a 501c(3) federally recognized non-profit organization devoted to saving the lives of homeless pets.
