Female Dog, Havanese
Havanese (Long Coat)
Description:
Female 13.5 years 10 lbs. Needs work on house training and leash training Playful, shy, affectionate, gentle Millie has quickly won the heart of her foster family. She is extremely sweet and gentle. She loves being close to her foster mom and will snuggle next to her in an armchair or will sleep under her desk while her foster mom is working. Millie likes attention from both men and women and is good with older, considerate children. We suspect she has some hearing loss but she has good eye contact and comes to her foster mom for pets, praise and treats. She responds to clapping to get her attention. Millie demonstrates good doggie social skills and has initiated play with the 10-year-old female and 3-year-old male dog in her foster family. She follows them around the house and is picking up cues from them as to what is expected. She is surprisingly spry and nimble for a 13-year-old, running up and down steps, jumping on the couch for some lap time and exploring in the yard. Speaking of yards, she’d love to have a fenced yard in her forever home as well. She takes such pleasure exploring the outdoors! Currently Millie is having a tough time with house training. If you’re looking for a loving companion, Millie might be just the dog for you! She packs a lot of love and sweetness into her little body. She’d love to be a part of your family.
