A SWEET & ACTIVE FRIEND: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 38 lbs. Hi, I’m Kaylyn! I was rescued from animal control, and I sure am happy about that! I’ve been enjoying my time with the nice volunteers and now I hear that I’m ready to find my new family to love and be loved by – yippie! I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off site and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, and I wanted to play with them too. I’ve pulled towards other dogs that I see on my walks because I’m so excited and just want to play with them! So, if you have a dog at home already who would like a playful friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I really like the 7-year-old boy I spent time with on several daytrips, but I do jump up a bit in excitement, so kids around that age or a bit older may be best. Let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m described as fun, playful, friendly, sweet, and active – ready to enjoy the good life with my family! I can see us going for walks, playing and discovering lots of things to do together. I was a good girl for my shelter bath and brush out too. / My energy level is 6 – 8 and can be higher if I haven’t had enough exercise, so I’d like to be active with my family. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my EZ walk harness or gentle leader, as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. I think that the stress of being at the shelter got to me, as a dog barked at me while I was on a walk and startled me, so I redirected and snapped at my walker leaving a mark on them. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, though I’m hesitant to come out of my crate at the shelter if you are wearing a hat. / My potty manners were very good in the prison foster training program. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to zoom around in the MM play yard with the volunteers, so I’m sure I’d enjoy a fenced yard in my new home where we can play together. I also love playing with toys, playing tug-of-war, balls and spending time with people. Treats are great and I’m treat-motivated, so I’d like plenty of those. Walks are great fun, too, so let’s take lots of those together. / Other than being weary of people wearing hats, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. If you’re looking for a wonderful friend to be active and have fun with, we could be great together! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
