Description:

A TINY LITTLE FELLOW: Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 6 lbs. & needs to gain a little weight Hi, my name is Kenzo! I found myself at animal control, and fortunately Mostly Mutts was able to rescue me, for which I am grateful! I’m in a wonderful foster home now while I wait to meet my new family, and I hear that it’s time to meet them which makes me happy. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: My foster reports that I get jealous of the other dog and don’t like sharing my person with them, and that I can be dominant, so I’d really like to be your only dog. I also guard my food, so I’m fed separately. / No cats please as I don’t like the cats in my foster home, so I sometimes chase and nip at them, though they mostly ignore me. / I haven’t met kids yet, but I think much older kids such as calm teens or older will be best since I guard my food, choose who I like, and I want a calm home. If you have teens like this, let’s meet. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: When I arrived from animal control I was quite shut down. The volunteers knew to go slowly with me and give me the time I needed to decompress. As soon as I began to gain confidence, my sweet and lovable personality shined through. I am friendly with those I choose and known as ‘a sweet and busy little guy’. It took 3-5 days to feel comfortable in my foster home and my foster gave me time and space which really helped. Now I’ve chosen my favorite person and may guard them. I did nip their boyfriend and don’t allow him to leash me, etc. These are trainable traits, and a Mostly Mutts trainer will be happy to help you so that I can learn to change this behavior. I’m an alert barker so I bark at most noises I hear, so best no apartment/condo type home please. / My energy level at the shelter was 4-6, but it’s much higher in my foster home, like a 6-8, as I’m very busy. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the ‘sit’ command and I’m very good on my leash. I’m sure you can teach me even more. / I don’t use a crate in my foster home, but my foster gates me in the bathroom with my bed, water and puppy pads and reports that I do well with that. / My potty habits are good in my foster home and were also very good on the shelter schedule. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love attention and laps, and I will seek out your lap so we can hang out together. I also like to play with toys, and I love my food … a little TOO much as I tend to guard my food bowl. I love being where my foster is, and I will loyally follow her around the house waiting for lap time and cuddles. / Other than what’s mentioned above, I’m not a fan of having hands hover over my head or being petted too much except by my person. In my foster home I don’t care for sudden movements and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I needed a good dental cleaning when I arrived, so I’ve had that now. I am looking for a loving home with a great furever family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
