A SWEET & LOVEABLE GIRL: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 44 lbs. Hi, my name is Stella! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control. I am so happy to be part of the MM family, and I look forward to meeting my new family very soon! I’m in a great foster home having fun while I wait! I hope I don’t have to wait too much longer. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met some dogs recently at Mostly Mutts and although I didn’t want to play with them, I also didn’t show any aggression. I was pretty stressed out by their presence, and avoided going near them, so I think I’d prefer to be your only dog. I also don’t care for the dogs I see on my walks with my foster. / Cats unknown / I met a boy and a girl around 10 years old recently at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have kids around that age at home, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. Kids should not walk me as I have pulled hard towards other large dogs I see on walks. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: When I lived at the shelter, the volunteers describe me as ‘a total sweetheart’, and I quickly became a favorite around the shelter. I have a sweet, friendly demeanor, which makes me the perfect companion for a loving family! I’ve been a quiet, calm girl who enjoys my play sessions and even my shelter bath. My foster reports that I have a goofy side too – making her giggle at me when I’m having fun and do something silly! Loving, affectionate, silly, and playful – I’m not sure you could ask for anything better in a great dog! / My energy level is 5-6, so I’d like some regular exercise. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’ve mastered several commands – ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘drop it’, ‘come’, and how to accept friendly strangers without jumping. I’m quite a smart girl; I even know how to ‘shake’ your hand! Maybe you can teach me even more! I currently pull on my walks when I see other large dogs coming near us, but my foster is working with me on this. / Initially, I did not like going back in my crate, but I now go into it with a treat reward. In my foster home, I sleep in a warm cozy dog bed where my foster will cover my whole body with a blanket except my nose – which I absolutely love! / My potty habits have been good in my foster home on a consistent schedule, and I politely alert my foster mom to let her know I need to go out, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too! • LIKES/DISLIKES: People are my favorite things, and I enjoy taking my daily walks with my foster. I love to make human friends during our walks, and they all compliment me on being a cute and sweet girl. My foster says I’m a super clever and smart girl because I always peek over my shoulder on our walks to make sure no sneaky paws are following us. She also knows how much I love affection and gives me all the petting, scratching, and brushing that I desire, especially back scratches, my favorite! I am like a teddy bear that loves to get as close to you as possible while cuddling – putting my head under your chin is my signature move. Toys are fun, too, so let’s plan on some play sessions in between our cuddle fests! I love car rides so much that I come running as soon as I hear my foster’s keys jingling, hoping she’ll take me on an adventure! / The fireworks made me a little uneasy, but I felt better snuggling close to my foster mom’s feet instead of in my usual bed. I am not a fan of the vacuum, but I can’t think of any other dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I was HW+, but I’m happy to share that I’ve finished my heartworm treatment and recovery, and my re-check confirmed I’m now heartworm-free! I’m looking for a great home where I will be a cherished member of the family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
