Large 3-Year-Old Male Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler Mix Needs to Be an Only Dog (due to lack of socialization as a puppy) Anxious and Can Become Possessive of His Person Requires an Experienced Owner Amazing Recall, Knows Sit, Down, and Stay Commands Walks Great on Leash Needs a Steel Kennel When Left Alone (due to strong anxiety) Astro is a loyal and intelligent Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler mix looking for a loving forever home. He needs to be the only dog in the household, as he wasn't properly socialized as a puppy and can become anxious and possessive of his person. Astro has amazing recall and knows several commands, including sit, down, and stay. He walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys spending time with his human. However, he does require an experienced owner who can manage his anxiety, especially when left alone. A steel kennel has been used in the past to help him cope with being left alone. If you're looking for a smart and loyal companion who needs a bit of extra attention, Astro is ready to meet you! All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter.
