Description:
Newt is a 9 year old black lab mix who has been with my sister’s family for 8 years. When my sister adopted him, he did 2 weeks boarding training as well as follow up training for a year so he knows his commands and is overall a very good boy. Unfortunately, they are rehoming him because he has not been able to safely adjust to their second baby and began displaying protective/territorial behaviors raising safety concerns for their 4 year old. Despite additional training and consulting with their vet, they have not been able to rectify these behaviors. Out of fairness to Newt and safety for their kids, they have made the heartbreaking decision to rehome him.
