Gremlin is a super sweet, reserved pup who is settling into our home with grace. He’s a polite, unassuming dog who seems genuinely appreciative of the love and comfort of being in a home. While he’s a bit on the quiet side, he’s incredibly smart and eager to learn. Gremlin is curious about other dogs, regardless of their size, and seems to enjoy making new doggy friends. He may be a little shy at first with people, but his gentle nature shines through once he feels at ease. From what we can tell, Gremlin appears to be an escape artist. He would enjoy a fenced yard in which he can run, but would likely do best with a wooden fence that is well secured. He appears to have some trauma around being in the kennel for so long and, as a result, crate training has been difficult for him. He does well being contained to a room/area, but does panic when closed into his crate. We have been working on systematically desensitizing him to the crate each day and he is showing progress bit by bit. With that said, it’s only been about 12 days and he still needs time to decompress and feel a sense of safety.
