Female Dog, White German Shepherd

White German Shepherd (Long Coat)

Description:

Female - 4 years - 75 lbs - Microchipped - Spayed - PAHi! My name is Sur and I am a 4-year-old, 75 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone. I don’t necessarily need to be crated, though I can be an escape artist when I want to be so I should be crated when alone until I am settled into my home. I also use my crate as a safe space when I become overwhelmed so appreciate having it available. I am skittish with new people and take a long time to warm up. I am starting to seek interaction with my foster family and am a sweet girl. I am hand-shy and still learning that there’s no need to fear moving hands or other quick movements. I will retreat to my crate when we have visitors. I have done well with other female dogs, and have disliked the male dogs I have met. So if there is another dog in my home, they should be a female. I may benefit from an outgoing, well-adjusted female dog in my home. I have a stuffless skunk toy that I like to play with, or I will also accept a Kong or pig ear to chew on! I am remarkably unfazed by cats and wouldn’t mind cats being in my home. My foster family has been spending time building my engagement and trust so I will have the foundations to continue my training with my adoptive family. I have also learned sit, leave it, and how to walk nicely on leash. If I am startled on a walk, I will flatten to the ground until I feel the perceived threat has gone away. I have been doing well in the car as of late, but should mention I got carsick a couple times early on with my foster family. I am a sweet girl looking for a patient family—could that be with you? Follow me on Facebook: #EchoDogSur For more information, please contact [email protected]. Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states. Visit www.echodogs.org/available-dogs to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog IS available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
