Life didn’t start easy for this sweet boy—he was found abandoned in a graveyard in Southern Illinois during the harsh winter. But Emmerich’s resilience shines through, and now he’s thriving in a warm and loving foster home where he’s been spoiled with love and care. Emmerich is an adventure enthusiast and a joy to have around. He absolutely adores car rides and leaps in and out of the car with enthusiasm. He finds simple pleasures in life, like chasing leaves and spending time in the yard with his canine foster siblings. One of his favorite pastimes is going on “sniff walks,” which not only burn off his playful puppy energy but also let him explore the world through his curious nose. He’s also a big fan of toys and loves a good bone to chew on. This friendly and adaptable pup is great with everyone he meets—dogs, cats, and humans alike. Emmerich is likely to do well with kids, though he’s still working on curbing his puppy jumpiness. He may occasionally knock over a small child in his excitement, but he’ll be quick to make up for it with plenty of kisses and love. Described as happy, outgoing, playful, and loyal, Emmerich would thrive in a home where he can be part of a family pack.
