Male Dog, Labrador Retriever
Labrador Retriever / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Willard is a 3-month-old Lab mix who currently weighs about 18 pounds. He had a rough start to life, found all alone in the cold, but thanks to a kind person who got him to safety, he’s now thriving in his foster home. This sweet and playful boy is the perfect mix of energetic puppy and cuddle companion. He loves to zoom around with his toys, chew on bones and kongs, and then curl up for a snuggle session while watching TV. Willard also has the most hilarious run—he's a clumsy, goofy puppy who does an adorable hop while running low to the ground. It’s impossible not to smile when you watch him in action. He’s eager to play and would likely love a canine sibling who matches his energy. His foster sisters aren’t interested in playing with him, but that doesn’t stop him from trying. A home with another playful, energetic dog could be a great fit for him. Like any young pup, Willard is still learning and will need continued training, including house and crate training, basic manners, and polite play. He’s working on keeping all four paws on the ground and learning not to play using his mouth, so he’d do best in a home with slightly older children who can keep handle his puppy stage. He can also be quite vocal at times, so a home without shared walls would be best. Willard is looking for a loving family who will guide him as he grows and give him all the affection he deserves. If you're ready for a fun, affectionate, and slightly goofy puppy, Willard just might be the one for you! His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
