Description:
Meet Lola! an approximate 5-year-old, 48 lb., Doodle mix! Lola came from Oklahoma where she had a bit of a rough life. She was living in a home that was a bit chaotic, and her owner was in and out of jail. She gave birth to a litter of 9 puppies before a rescue in Oklahoma was able to convince the owner to surrender her and the puppies. The puppies are still in Oklahoma where they are being cared for and watched closely. A few puppies have passed away from an unknown cause. Lola was given the chance to come to Iowa to start her life over and find a family that will cherish her as much as she will cherish them. She has a very sweet and goofy disposition. She enjoys playing with soft toys, chewing on bones, going for walks and being within eyesight of her people. Her foster family includes teenage children and a cat. She loves meeting people and other dogs on our walks and her wiggly tail shows how much she enjoys being petted. She's working on house training and sleeps quietly in her kennel at night. Lola was treated for ringworm in Oklahoma and is being treated here again as a precaution to make sure it is completely cleared up.
