Female Dog, Miniature Schnauzer
Miniature Schnauzer (Medium Coat)
Description:
Winnie is a 9.5-year-old, 13 lb., female, miniature Schnauzer. She is a local owner surrender. Winnie is a former breeder release that was adopted about 5 years ago from another local shelter. The owner's husband passed away a short time ago and she could no longer take care of Winnie. Upon moving to a family member's home with young children, Winnie began having issues with house training. She would have accidents despite her going outside to potty. This was believed to be stress induced due to the young children running around the house. She can be a bit timid and needs a quiet home where she can snuggle and bond with her family. Even though she is not a good fit for younger kids, she would likely do well with kids over 13 years old that will be calm and let her snuggle with them. She is the sweetest lop-eared dog you have ever seen. She sleeps in her kennel at night, knows to go outside for potty (she hasn't had any accidents in the week she has been in foster care), and she likes to walk on leash, but she could use some practice. She likes to sleep beside you all day long and she loves car rides. Winnie has been seen by our vet, and it is reported she is missing quite a few teeth, but she eats kibble just fine. If you want an easy dog to love ~she is your pick.
