Description:
Dear Diary, It’s me, Rex. Today feels like just another day at the kennel, but I can’t help but dream of something more. I had a foster family for a little while—I thought I finally found my place—but I guess my big, playful energy was a bit too much for the youngest kiddo. So, here I am again, waiting for someone to see me, to choose me, to love me. The kennel is loud and stressful, and honestly, it’s no place for a snuggle-loving pup like me. I miss having a human to curl up next to and a backyard to chase my favorite thing in the world—my ball! Fetch is my absolute favorite. I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and I sleep quietly all night long if you let me. I love my “binky” Kongs, ripping up stuffies, and snacking on treats, berries, and carrots. My foster used to say I have the most joyful face she’s ever seen, but lately, my smile feels a little dim. I know I’m a good boy—I just need the right home. I thrive with older kids who understand my bouncy spirit and a family ready to let me show off all the love I have to give. Right now, I need to be the only pet in the home so I can have the one-on-one attention I crave. All the volunteers who walk me adore me. They say I’m the perfect combo of derp and poise, with the most polite leash manners and the best twerk happy dance. I promise, I will bring joy to your day. I don’t know when my family will find me, but I hope it’s soon. If someone out there is looking for a loyal, loving, and playful best friend, I’m right here. I just need a chance. — Love, Rex Currently being boarded in Hampstead, MD. Looking for a foster or forever home and walkers to get him out of the kennel.
